Hope for Haiti’s Children offers unique learning opportunities to students who grow up in our two Christian orphanages at Cazeau and Thomazeau. The PACES program (Promising Adult Continued Education Sponsorship) ensures that young people have access to real-world training in a variety of marketable skills and trades.
There are two categories of skills training within the PACES program: Residential training for younger students is held on-site at the orphanages and includes classes in sewing, baking, computers, English, and gardening. Off-site classes allow older students to receive formal training in trades such as nursing, tile laying, plumbing, solar technology, electrical work, preaching, and cosmetology. Upon completion of these programs, students receive certification in their respective programs and a distinct advantage in local job markets.
After the Fall 2021 semester, ten students graduated from PACES with certificates in plumbing, electrical work, culinary arts, cosmetology, and preaching! Thanks to committed sponsors like you, these students have bright futures ahead.
As you might imagine, funding for these and other programs is still needed. We have great news, though… a partnering foundation has agreed to match all donated funds for this and a variety of other HFHC programs through our Project Hope Million Dollar Impact gift-match campaign! You can maximize the impact of your donation by taking advantage of this gift match and continuing to help us make a difference… one child at a time.
