Homes and Schools Rebuilt After 2021 Earthquake

May 6, 2022

Last year on August 14, a major 7.2 magnitude earthquake rocked Haiti’s southern peninsula, killing 2,189 people. The quake also injured an estimated 12,000 and toppled many homes, schools, and church buildings. Thanks to the outpouring of donations, HFHC has now rebuilt 27 homes in eight communities – causing an outpouring of thanksgiving from these families and the local churches. Also, the Camp-Perrin Christian School, which was completely destroyed by the earthquake, is being rebuilt and is scheduled for completion this summer before school starts next Fall.
