Project Hope is our plan to strengthen the programs and services provided to all our sponsored children. Some of our ten schools need significant capital investments. Project Hope plans call for two schools to be built and for additional classrooms to be added at existing schools. Each new classroom will need new desks and a chalkboard. Within the Project Hope framework, all students will receive spiritual training at their local school and leadership opportunities at Camp Hope.

Although political tension and economic turmoil have continued to plague Haiti throughout 2021, Hope for Haiti’s Children has witnessed amazing accomplishments and organizational growth. God’s faithful providence has sustained many Haitian children and families in need through your sacrificial generosity and prayerful support. Each summer, Hope for Haiti’s Children conducts Camp Hope, a Christian leadership youth camp for teens in our sponsorship program. At Camp Hope, students engage in devotionals, discussion groups, organized team-building activities, craft projects, and informal recreational play. Our goal is to encourage and equip them to become mature Christian leaders in their homes, churches, and communities.

The Orphan Care Sunday event invites your entire congregation, a Sunday School class or a Small Group to gather together for a simple inexpensive meal (such as rice & beans) rather than eating out for your Sunday meal. Participants would then contribute the savings for use at the orphanages. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to share a meal, pray for the fatherless and respond immediately to their needs. In November 2019, the Board of Directors for Hope for Haiti’s Children developed Project Hope, a long-term plan with the ultimate goal of providing a comprehensive and sustainable infrastructure to continually develop outstanding leaders.

As our schools continue to educate our children, the need to keep them operational by investing in repairs and ugrades remains core to continuing to provide a quality education.  Additional classrooms, new school lunch programs, and new micro-business training all help to benefit the children.  At our orphanage in Thomazeau, new dormitories for the orphans have been completed. With a view to being able to host our annual Christian Youth Leadership Camp at our Thomazeau Hope Center (Camp Hope), a perimeter wall for camper safety has been completed and construction of a multi-stall bath house is planned. Prayers and funds are needed for the next phase of this Camp Hope project.
