Hope for Haiti’s Children began caring for child orphans in 1998 at the Cazeau Christian Orphanage in partnership with local Christian leaders. Our amazing house-parents and support staff at Cazeau Christian Orphanage lovingly care for the poorest of the poor, those children who have no one else. Currently, sixty orphans live at the orphanage and are provided with housing, meals, clothing, and medical care.
The orphanage is a safe, happy place where the children experience the normalcy of daily life: they play soccer and basketball, learn English and basic computer skills, and assist with raising chickens and turkeys. They have choir practice every week and love to sing for various special events. The older teens take classes in sewing and cooking in order to equip them with valuable skills for the transition to adult life.
All the children memorize God’s Word and engage in group devotionals and worship. We strive to nurture, educate, and train all of the children at Cazeau Christian Orphanage so they can experience life abundant (John 10:10) and shine the light of Jesus in Haiti (Matthew 5:16). Thank you for partnering with us to care for these precious Haitian children and to make a difference… one child at a time!
How much will it cost to provide what the children need for the remainder of 2023? About $60,000! For 60 children, this equals $1,000 per child, which is $13.89 per day… that’s about the average cost of a fast-food dinner for two.
Take a look at how those funds are used…
