Haiti is on our doorstep, just a two flight from Miami. Haiti is a stunningly beautiful country. The country is filled with hard-working, resilient people. Sadly, they have weathered hurricanes and the deadliest earthquake in our hemisphere. 80% of Haiti’s citizens are trapped in extreme poverty – earning less than $2 per day. Rise of gangs, fuel shortages, inflation, and ongoing protests are the backdrop of daily life. These grim realities forecast a dark future for Haitian children. What they are missing is HOPE.
