Compassion in Action: Annual Medical Clinic Update

Apr 21, 2026

Our Annual Child Care Clinic was another meaningful step forward in caring for children in Haiti. While final reports are still being completed, the early results show a strong and encouraging impact on the lives of the children we serve.

More than 2,000 sponsored children received health examinations through the clinic. In addition, children with greater needs were identified for continued care, including 17 scheduled for follow-up medical treatment, 184 needing follow-up dental care, and 150 requiring follow-up vision care.

These numbers represent more than appointments or procedures. They reflect children receiving help for pain, treatment for illness, clearer vision in the classroom, and the care they need to grow and learn.

Train the Trainer

One of the most encouraging developments this year was a true “train the trainer” milestone. Over time, our Haitian medical team has gained valuable experience through these clinics, and this year they began equipping other local teams to help carry the work forward. That matters deeply in a country where gang violence, travel restrictions, and instability can create serious obstacles. By training others, care can continue and children can still be reached even during difficult seasons.
This is the kind of long-term ministry that creates lasting impact—strengthening local leadership, building sustainable systems, and ensuring children are not forgotten when challenges arise.

Important Work Ahead

There is still important work ahead. Basic medical supplies remain in constant demand, and continued support helps provide care throughout the year—not only during clinic week.

Current Needs Include:

  • On-site nurses serving our schools
  • Urgent medical procedures
  • Medicine and clinic supplies for nursing kits
  • Outside medical treatment when needed
  • Repairs to bathrooms and wastewater drainage systems
  • Dental and vision care for students

Right now, all donations for medical care will be matched, doubling the impact of your generosity. Your gift can help provide treatment, supplies, and follow-up care for children who need it most.  Donate Today.
